IDEC Foundation Graduate Scholar Award
The IDECF has been supporting graduate students through scholarships to participate in the annual IDEC conference for more than a decade. Supporting graduate students to become the next generation of design educators is a key objective of IDECF.
Calls for submissions will be released in the Fall and be awarded to apply towards the conference in the following calendar year.

2022 Award Call
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MIDNIGHT (PST) – DECEMBER 10, 2021 (EXPIRED)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide registration and travel funding to the IDEC Annual Conference for interior design graduate students who desire to become interior design educators. The 2022 Foundation Graduate Scholars will be mentored by esteemed leaders in interior design education
AMOUNT
Each scholarship will be $1,000 for graduate scholars who are attending the Annual IDEC Conference in 2022. If attending the Annual IDEC Conference in 2022 virtually, an amount equal to the cost of graduate student registration will be funded. The Foundation will award up to $5,000 to the graduate students selected this year. Scholarship recipients will be selected by January 17.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program emphasizing interior design. Full-time educators are not eligible.

Commitment to teaching interior design as demonstrated by the response to the question and the quality of the response to the question.

- A current unofficial transcript of graduate coursework only.
- Your response to the question, “What has drawn you to the interior design education profession?” (250-word maximum; must be word processed).
